What is ASP?

ASP (Appalachia Service Project) is a Christian ministry, open to all people, that addresses the housing needs of Central Appalachian counties in Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, and West Virginia.  The project was founded in 1969, and has held the same philosophy since:  ASP encourages people to act responsibly in the face of human need and injustice while guided by faith.  Nearly 15,000 volunteers join the project working on homes each summer.  Their help, along with gracious donations, have helped make this project a success for so many years. Volunteers of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to join in this wonderful outreach ministry.
