Chancel Choir
Information from the Choir Director
The Chancel Choir is open to all adults, and high school students. There are no auditions and all are welcome regardless of experience. All that is required is a love of singing and fellowship.
The choir rehearses every Wednesday night from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. and sings an anthem at the 10:30 service. The choir also sings at special services on most holidays. The question is always asked “Do I need to attend every rehearsal to sing?” The answer is no. I rehearse music for four to five weeks before we sing, except when just getting started, and most of the music is planned out a semester at a time. In case you need to miss, you will know when that music will be performed and you and I can decide your comfort level for performance.
We have had the opportunity on special occasions to add professional instrumentalists to our service and we will continue to do so. Last Christmas we sang a Christmas Cantata. We also offer a “trial plan” in that you can sing just for a certain season with no future commitment. We are confident that you will enjoy the group so much, you’ll come back!!!
