Gifford Elementary

We also participate in an outreach ministry that serves students in our local neighborhood school, Gifford Elementary. We’ve "adopted" this school and each year provide needed school supplies, backpacks, scarves, mittens and hats for students who cannot afford their own supplies.

We also collect school supplies and money for the Salvation Army’s “Adopt a Neighborhood” program that provides kids with the necessary supplies to start school in the fall. These supplies are distributed in August. Our Gifford mission project is an off-shoot of the Salvation Army program.

Some Franksville UMC teachers and parents of Gifford students were made aware of a need for supplies occuring later in the school year. As supplies beome depleted, many kids have had to rely on kind teachers or social workers to provide them. Franksville UMC is helping with that situation and it has been very well received by Gifford School.
