Opportunities for volunteering at Franksville United Methodist Church

Sunday School Teacher, 9:15 – 10:15 a.m. Sunday between services. Contact Jan Stape/Betsy Welch. Helpers also needed for assisting with Sunday School.

Harmony Club: Meets the fourth Friday of the month from 9:30 a.m. -3:30 p.m. Offered by Lincoln Lutheran, held in our Fellowship Hall, volunteers are needed to be companions for adults with Alzheimer’s or Dementia for the day so their caregivers have a day of respite. The group has musical entertainment, lunch, crafts and activities. Contact Dawn at Lincoln Lutheran at 632-9828.

Mission Trips: Appalachian Service Project, one week during the summer working on home repair in Appalachia. Wildfire is a middle school mission trip for one week in the summer in Superior, WI.

Ushers/Liturgist: Responsible for reading the given lessons for Sunday morning services. For ushering duties contact Pat Sorenson/Sandy Eaton. For lay liturgists contact Sally Nelson.

United Methodist Women: Mission committee works on projects such as collecting tabs for the Ronald McDonald House, food items for the Racine Food Pantry, Women’s Resource Center and purchasing school supplies for Gifford School. Contact Sue Fritsche.

Knit Wits: Our knitting group provides hospital baby hats, school kid’s hats and mittens and lap robes for the veterans. Contact Jan Peterson.

Turkey Supper/Bazaar: The annual event that is a fund raiser for our church needs volunteers for a variety of jobs in the weeks before and on the night of the supper. The Turkey supper is held the 3 rd Saturday in October. Contact Ginny Anderegg.

Office Assistants: The secretary occasionally needs help with collating-addressing the monthly newsletter and the bulletins. Contact the Jill at the Church office 886-0326.
