Women's Spirituality Group
The Women’s Spirituality Group, led by Pastor Kaye, is a small group which meets every other Wednesday morning at 6:30 a.m. to read and discuss books focusing on the unique journey of women’s spirituality. The group has read books by Sue Monk Kidd, Joyce Rupp, Merlin Stone and Judith Duerk. Each book seeks to deepen relationships with God, with one another and with ourselves. This has been a transformative experience for many in the group.
On Wednesday, 12/17, the Women's Spirituality Group will begin a new book entitled, 'The Gospels of Mary: The Secret Tradition of Mary Magdalene the Companion of Jesus" by Marvin Meyer. In this interesting Book, Meyer, one of the foremost scholars of the Gnostic Gospels, translates and introduces the Gnostic and New Testament texts that together reveal the story and importance of Mary Magdalene.
